McLaughlin & Harvey have commenced the new build works to FetLor Youth Club in Edinburgh, with completion due later this year. Hardies have been working with FetLor Youth Club for a number of years to get this project off the ground. Hardies have successfully concluded a negotiated contract between Visage and Robertson Construction to build 173 student studios. The project is due to commence on site in May 2016 and aims to achieve an Outstanding BREEAM rating. Hardies are providing Project Management, Employer’s Agent and H&S services to Visage. Read more

Christmas jumpers are often worn with sufferance but workers at one St Andrews office were happy to don the cheery – and cheesy – knitwear in aid of a good cause. Property and construction consultants Hardies had a Christmas jumper day throughout all 14 offices, with each member of staff paying more to wear their seasonal jersey. The £125 raised was used to buy toys to donate to the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal, a cause the company has supported over the last five years. Hardies Property & Construction Consultants in St Andrews is celebrating the news that a local building on which it was appointed to provide Quantity Surveying and CDM Co-ordination services, has won a prestigious Best Building in Scotland prize.
West Burn Lane, a contemporary and high end housing project of innovative townhouses, maisonettes and apartments, by architects Sutherland Hussey Harris for St Andrews based Eastacre Investments LLP, was awarded the title by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland at a ceremony at the Royal Museum of Scotland.
