Hardies Property & Construction Consultants are a Scotland based consultancy firm with over a century’s experience in the industry. We invited Danny McArthur to provide us with a fascinating overview of the firm and the services it provides.
Hardies Property & Construction Consultants have a proud history over 104 years of providing the very highest standard of service to their clients. Recently, in order to build upon this success, the firm merged with J & E Shepherd Chartered Surveyors in December 2016.
Together the group is now the largest multi-disciplinary surveying firm in Scotland with 34 offices. J & E Shepherd are the valuation side of the business and Hardies are the construction consultants arm. Among its service offering Hardies provides project management, quantity surveying, building surveying, Principal Designer/Health & Safety Advisor, dispute resolution support services and clerk of works. Danny outlines how the firm works to ensure that it is always a cut above the rest and offers clients the very best possible service.
“Here at Hardies, our approach is to try keep everyone working as one team in collaboration with one another. The focus has to be to keeping decisions and design information flowing to ensure that every project is delivered to the highest possible standard.
“Overall, what truly sets us apart from our competitors, alongside our high standard of service delivery, is our attention to detail, determination to get things right before works start on site and the fact that we are not afraid to get our hands dirty. All of these factors are what separates us from the rest and marks Hardies out as the best possible option for our clients.”
Currently Hardies are working on the next phase of a large project at Trump Turnberry Hotel, which is the refurbishment of the Spa Building and also various works at the clients resort in Doonbeg, Ireland. This will provide the firm with many great opportunities to expand its reputation and expertise further afield. In his concluding comments Danny addresses his future plans for the company and how it is looking to leverage its recent merger to ensure the ongoing success of both firms.
“Since the merger with J & E Shepherd, Hardies is now exposed to a new, significant client base. Already we have seen a sharp rise in business, and we expect that over the next ten years that the firm with double in size with expansion into England in the not too distant future.”Back to News
