Could the new crossing drive a Fife commercial property boom?

Yes, say property specialists who have already started to see an increase in demand driven by the new transport corridor

The new Queensferry Crossing is already having positive impact on commercial property in Fife, according to property specialist hardies, which says the bridge presents an excellent opportunity to create a prime transport and business hub in east central Scotland.

Paul Carr, an associate at Hardies’ Dunfermline office, says he also believes the forthcoming investment announced by DFDS Seaways and Forth Ports late last year – in which they have pledged to invest €6 million in infrastructure and technology upgrades at the Port of Rosyth – will bring new opportunity for Rosyth, Dunfermline and Dalgety Bay.

He said: “Fife is strategically placed to benefit from these new transport connections.  It looks like the new bridge will be completed sooner than schedules, which is fantastic news.”
