Hardies Property & Construction Consultants in St Andrews is celebrating the news that a local building on which it was appointed to provide Quantity Surveying and CDM Co-ordination services, has won a prestigious Best Building in Scotland prize.
West Burn Lane, a contemporary and high end housing project of innovative townhouses, maisonettes and apartments, by architects Sutherland Hussey Harris for St Andrews based Eastacre Investments LLP, was awarded the title by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland at a ceremony at the Royal Museum of Scotland.
Completed in February 2015, West Burn Lane was Hardies’ first project working with Eastacre.
Gary Ovenstone, project QS and partner in the Hardies St Andrews office, said: “We are delighted for our clients Eastacre and for their architects Sutherland Hussey Harris.
“Our sincere congratulations go to them both.
“It’s a fantastic achievement to win this title out of a total of 12 other impressive buildings throughout Scotland.
“It is a very striking collection of housing right in the centre of St Andrews and it is exciting for the town to have this award winning structure here.
“It has got everyone talking.”Back to News
