Shepherd Chartered Surveyors said yesterday it had merged with Hardies, one of Scotland’s largest multi-discipline property and construction consultancies.
The two firms now form a practice with combined turnover of £25 million and employing about 350 people.
Shepherd, which has 33 offices throughout Scotland, and Hardies with 14, will keep their own identities.
A spokesman for the enlarged group insisted it was a merger rather than a takeover, though Shepherd’s partners have a controlling interest.
Hardies, which has a branch in Aberdeen, specialised in construction services, project management and building and quantity surveying, while it is also highly regarded for its valuation department.
Shepherd, whose operations include branches in Aberdeen, Fraserburgh, Elgin and Inverness, is a national survey and valuation partnership with a mature building surveying department.Back to News
