Hardies rebrands following merger with Shepherd

Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has undergone a comprehensive rebranding exercise following its merger with Shepherd Chartered Surveyors at the end of last year. Hardies and Shepherd get business boost after merger

Hardies, the property and construction consultants, has a new logo following its merger with Shepherd Chartered Surveyors that adopts the latter’s blue triangle.  Shepherd was founded in 1880 while Hardies dates back to 1913.  Murray Warner, head of Hardies’ south division, described business since the merger in December as “buoyant”.  He said: “Hardies has traditionally been strong in Edinburgh, Fife and Dundee while Shepherd’s locations give us strength in Glasgow and on the west coast, plus Aberdeen and Inverness.”  Mr Warner s Read more

Revamped Dalkeith Corn Exchange wins 2017 Civic Trust Award

The historic Grade A-Listed Corn Exchange in Dalkeith has won a 2017 Civic Trust Award following its recent regeneration by Melville Housing Association.  Vacant for several years, and experiencing some deterioration, the building was in need of repair, restoration and regeneration.  Melville Housing Association purchased the building last year, and undertook the restoration necessary to convert it into its new HQ, with a museum for the Dalkeith History Society and an area for community space.  The transformation was aided by funding from Historic Environment Scotland and the Read more

Hardies marks retirement of two employees in Perth

Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has marked the retirement of two long-standing employees in Perth with almost 60 years of combined service with a presentation and dinner as an expression of gratitude for valued contribution to the growth of the firm.
