Construction of World’s First Open Foundry to Manufacture Silicon Carbide Semi-Conductors and First Semi-Conductor Plant to be Built in Scotland for 25 Years.

Phase 1 comprised the full refurbishment of the existing building and extension shell works. This work also included the forming of new offices, welfare facilities and external work.

Phase 2 comprised the M&E fit out of the building which was a substantial undertaking and included many specialist gases. Also included in this package was the fit out of the Class 100 Cleanrooms and construction of the gas farm.

Phase 3 included the fit out of the ‘tools’ which is the specialist equipment required to make the semi-conductors.
