Ewan Wyllie – Head of Principal Design

Ewan joined Hardies in May 2023 as Head of the Principal Designer Service. He is a CDM subject matter expert with over 18 years’ experience in construction health and safety. Ewan’s approach is practical and proportionate, and he likes to push the boundaries to ensure that health and safety remains of paramount importance on a project but doesn’t have to stifle creativity or have a negative impact on budget or programme. Ewan has extensive experience in acting as principal designer and advisor to the principal designer for projects of varying size and complexity across a variety of sectors throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Ewan is an associate member of the Association for Project Safety and is also a chartered building surveyor with over 19 years post qualified experience.
