After 10 years to J & E Shepherd John joined Hardies as a Partner following our merger with J & E Shepherd in January 2017; and as of December 2021 he will now assume the role of Head of Building Surveying.   

John has acquired more than 25 years’ experience in the construction and property-related industry, working in most sectors from medical, retail, residential, education, office, and industrial to providing expert witness and dispute resolution services. This has provided a huge insight into the surveying world. Having ‘worked on the tools’, he has hands-on knowledge of both new build and refurbishment contracts.

In addition, John has also gained experience having worked in Local Government where he was heavily involved with the Asset Management of the commercial building stock, housing, and education services.
