Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Ward 64

Hardies (formerly The Binnie-McKenzie Partnership) were employed to refurbish and upgrade an existing Neuro surgical ward in the Neurosurgical Block at the old Southern General Hospital to bring the ward into compliance with HAI inspectorate report including complete strip out and refurbishment of 13 shared and ensuite bathrooms, dishing bathroom and ensuite floors to keep water within the room, window cill and bump rail renewal ,strip out and replacement of all cabinetry and worktops to current HTM standards .

When on site it was decided to completely strip out and replace all existing failing copper pipework with new Stainless steel pipework within the boundaries of Ward 64 and this was achieved within programme and budget and the ward handed back for interim use as Covid 19 bedspaces in November 2020.
