Woodland Grange Residential Development
This is a Design & Build project for the construction of two three-storey blocks each providing twelve flats for Melville Housing Association. The blocks are of timber frame construction with concrete interlocking tiles to the pitched roofs. The external walls are finished with a white dry dash render and Forticrete facing blockwork to the basecourse and bay windows. The flats have two bedrooms and an open plan layout to the kitchen and living room. Small gardens are located to the front and rear. The back gardens have privacy fencing and timber bin enclosures. Parking for the residents is provided at the rear of the blocks. The blocks were built to foundation level before being mothballed in 2008 as result of the recession. Construction re-commenced in spring of 2009 and was completed ahead of programme.
