About Us

Hardies Property & Construction Consultants, first formed in 1913, prides itself on its vast history and expertise. The practice up until its expansion across the UK in 2022, was one of the largest independent surveying firms in Scotland offering the full spectrum of surveying services until its merger with J&E Shepherd Chartered Surveyors in 2016. This merger saw Hardies becoming the ‘construction surveying arm’ and Shepherd’s becoming the ‘valuation and commercial surveying arm’ of the group. Combined the practices operate from 41 offices across the UK.

The practice has a solid reputation for professionalism, integrity, openness, and innovation. Hardies has vast experience in all sectors and boasts an enviable reputation for working on both small and large projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

In recent years the practice has become a trusted name for working on large property portfolios for major UK and global clients.
