Former pupils could help build schools

Two former Newbattle pupils could help build two new primary schools in Midlothian, thanks to construction consultant Hardies.  Kirsten O’Connor and Laura Falconer, who are being supported by the firm while they study at Napier University, could gain vital work experience on the new Gorebridge North and Bilston primary schools.  When the two pupils successfully complete their studies, Hardies will also guarantee each of them a full-time post for two years and support them through their RICS professional membership process to allow them to become chartered surveyors. Hardies surveyors support students and graduates on their career paths

Hardies assists St Andrews Harbour Trust in new pontoon installation

Multi discipline surveying firm Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has played its part in the recently installed pontoons at St Andrews Harbour. In just a few weeks, the pontoons have transformed the activity at the harbour, making it easier to berth and gain access to vessels. Individual finger berths are now in place attached to a stable pontoon walkway. As the project, carried out by clients the St Andrews Harbour Trust, was grant funded, Hardies was able to advise the Trust on how to achieve a competitive tendering process. Read more

Property firm Hardies builds on success

Surveying and property consultancy Hardies is targeting a doubling of turnover from its Aberdeen and Glasgow operations after revealing a combined £1 million from the two offices in the current year.  The Edinburgh-head-quartered firm, which operates from 14 locations, is now two years into a five year masterplan to push further west and north.  Since setting up shop in Glasgow at Hillington Innovation Centre, the office there has expanded to employ ten people.  Turnover of about £450,000 is projected to “easily double” next year.  The Aberdeen of Read more
